It was after I got my BA studying printmaking, painting and bronze casting at UC Santa Cruz, that I found the medium that combined color, texture and form: ceramics.
This discovery led me to seek my BFA in ceramics at Alfred University, where I studied under Tony Hepburn, Wayne Higby, John Gill and Val Cushing. I then earned my MFA at CU Boulder, studying with Betty Woodman, Scott Chamberlin, Alec Karros and Liz Quackenbush.
After 20 years working in clay, I have spent the last 6 months learning how to throw on the potter's wheel with the help of Tate Rich at Cochise College. I am loving this new challenge and will post pics of my functional work soon.
