This year’s festival will be held in Sierra Vista, at the Windemere Hotel
and Conference Center, Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Sierra Vista lies at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains, minutes away from some of the most famous birding spots in the United States such as Garden, Sawmill Huachuca, Ramsey, Carr, Miller and Ash Canyons. These places have been known historically for their great biodiversity of birds, butterflies, odonates and other insects, mammals, reptiles and close to 1,000 species of plants.

Our Keynote Speaker will be Author and naturalist Scott Weidensaul. Scott has written more than two dozen books on natural history. He lectures widely on wildlife and environmental topics, and is an active field researcher, specializing in birds of prey and hummingbirds. There will be a special birding trip and a book signing with Scott.

We are pleased to again have artist Lisa Walraven who will design the theme, "Quail of Southeastern Arizona", for this year's festival.

Please enter the site to see all the great field trips, workshops and events we are offering this year and we’ll see you in August!
